When adjusting the accelerator cable, first loosen the two nuts fixed at the throttle valve, and then adjust the tightness between the cable and the throttle valve. Be careful not to adjust too tightly, otherwise it may cause high idle speed. After the adjustment is completed, it is necessary to ensure that the relevant nuts are tightened.

In theory, the throttle cable does not need to be replaced unless there is a malfunction. But in order to maintain its good working condition, lubricating oil can be added regularly to prevent the cable from getting stuck, heavy, or making abnormal noises.

The throttle line is mainly responsible for controlling the opening of the engine throttle, thereby controlling the acceleration of the vehicle. In motorcycles, the throttle wire is usually connected to the throttle handle on the right side of the handlebar, responsible for controlling the throttle and fuel needle.

This configuration is commonly referred to as a dual valve control valve. When lightly stepping on the accelerator, only one cable works; When the accelerator is heavily pressed, both cables will work simultaneously to provide better acceleration. One of the cables is usually connected to the engine throttle, while the other may be connected to the throttle of the automatic transmission to control the shifting of the transmission.

Manually pulling the engine throttle cable has the same effect as stepping on the accelerator pedal inside the cab, both of which can cause changes in the engine throttle opening. This operation is common when checking or diagnosing engine problems and will not cause damage to the vehicle.
