Car cable, also known as a lasso, is a well protected iron cable widely used in multiple key components of automobiles, such as brakes, throttle, and gear shifting devices. Its English name is cable.

There are various types of car cables, mainly including throttle cables, clutch cables, brake cables, odometer flexible shafts, and gear selector cables. Among them, the brake cable is used to pull the steel wire rope that changes the transmission gear, clutch, and brake. In addition, it is also used as a proxy lever control to change the machine's operating speed or traction force, as well as door lock devices. These cables are designed and classified according to vehicle models, with specialized buckles at both ends to correspond to different vehicle models. Lassos of the same type are mainly distinguished by their length and ball head fasteners.
