Every safe braking relies on the reliable operation of the brake cable.

The odometer flexible shaft is like a "trip recorder" for a car. By connecting the transmission and odometer, the flexible shaft rotates with the vehicle's movement, accurately recording and displaying the distance traveled on the odometer, allowing the owner to clearly understand the vehicle's mileage.

When adjusting the accelerator cable, first loosen the two nuts fixed at the throttle valve, and then adjust the tightness between the cable and the throttle valve. Be careful not to adjust too tightly, otherwise it may cause high idle speed. After the adjustment is completed, it is necessary to ensure that the relevant nuts are tightened.

In theory, the throttle cable does not need to be replaced unless there is a malfunction. But in order to maintain its good working condition, lubricating oil can be added regularly to prevent the cable from getting stuck, heavy, or making abnormal noises.

The throttle line is mainly responsible for controlling the opening of the engine throttle, thereby controlling the acceleration of the vehicle. In motorcycles, the throttle wire is usually connected to the throttle handle on the right side of the handlebar, responsible for controlling the throttle and fuel needle.

Installing the throttle cable is an important step in car maintenance. To ensure smooth operation, it is necessary to prepare tools and have repair experience in advance. The steps are as follows:

1. Find the position of the throttle cable located on the floor next to the driver's feet, make sure to turn off the engine and remove the key before operation to ensure safety.

2. Use tools such as wrenches to remove fasteners or bolts connected to the throttle cable. Be careful during operation to avoid damage to other components.

3. Remove the old throttle cable and clean any remaining oil and dust to prepare for installing the new cable. This step helps ensure the smooth operation and extended service life of the new cable.

4. Install a new throttle cable. Firstly, connect one end to the accelerator pedal and ensure a secure connection to prevent loosening.

5. For specific models such as Harley Sportster, it is necessary to loosen the throttle cable and handle protective rubber sleeves, locking nuts, and other components. Use tools such as a plum blossom wrench for operation, and pay special attention to the disassembly and assembly of small springs.

6. Dongfeng Xiaokang models need to remove the throttle related handle screws, fuel dispenser, and cable, then remove the plunger and replace the cable with a new one. Ensure that all components are correctly installed and tightened.

For the electronic throttle system, as it involves cables or wiring harnesses controlling the throttle opening, it is recommended to go to a 4S store or professional repair shop for replacement to ensure correct installation and performance.
